Heather & Tommy: A Celebration of Motherhood

It is almost impossible to put into words the bond of a mother and child. It is an unfathomable depth and comes in so many different forms. To take a moment and celebrate the highs and lows of these different motherhood seasons is so powerful. We often forget to even take a mental note let alone a photograph of these seasons. Breastfeeding is such a powerful part of the motherhood experience. It feels like such a raw surrender to someone else. To push your body into producing, providing and protecting in the way that feels beyond ourselves. It’s hard, it’s sacrificial but the bond is so beautiful and brief.

I loved being able to celebrate this season with Heather and Tommy. To bottle up these moments so they weren’t forgotten. To take a moment and recognize this mom in all her beauty and selflessness. To make this mom of three boys feel elegant and fun with a colorful flower crown. To recognize this little boy in all his tenderness and curiosity. And to truly capture the bond and joy that this season is for them.
