Ben & Emily: Anniversary Couples Session

    These two are some of my favorites. Its crazy to think that after less than 2 years of living in KC, Chris and I could make such close friends who we miss dearly. When I was in Kansas City over the Fall I was excited to get these two in front of my camera for the first time. They were funny, themselves and I just loved making them feel the moment together. They had some awkwardness fears when I told them I was going to photograph a session for them but I think once they realized how laid back it was going to be they loosened up and trusted me. Which is honestly all you can ask for as a photographer. 

You would have been shocked at the locations we found because with the fiery sunset that day you can barely tell it's in Kansas City Limits. I made them literally chase that sunset and I love being able to see the sun evolve all throughout the session. From peaking through the trees to almost setting the earth on fire. 

We wish we could be back with them each weekend for margaritas and queso, it's a tradition we think about way too often. But till then this blog is one of my favorites from 2017 and I'm so glad I know the two people in it. (also Guy their dog is the best thing ever!)
