Celebrating sisterhood in their beautiful Backyard in Durham, NC

Spring is finally here and giving us all the color and rain storms here in North Carolina which I absolutely love! I rarely get out for photos in the Spring surprisingly, my vibe tends to be Fall I guess :P Or maybe it’s my own allergies that keep me indoors. But the sweet moments I do get to explore the outdoors in the Springtime are some of my favorites! Capturing all the fresh blooms and alive green color are what perfect photos are made of.

I got to meet these two sisters and was blown away by their sweetness and silliness. Their mom really just wanted a simple session of her two precious girls loving each other and life in their backyard! And it ended up being the most beautiful garden backyard around! From rose bushes lining to fence to stunning herbs and plants curated perfectly throughout the outdoor space. It was tranquil and colorful! Typically I insist that we photograph the whole family, not just the kiddos, because one of my main goals with my work is getting the parents in front of the camera, at least for a few moments. Even if you aren’t feeling photogenic ,which i totally get, having a few moments of how you loved on your kiddos will mean so much in the future. For both you and for them, to see the memories captured.

But due to scheduling and the rose bloom schedule we ended up having to do this fun sisterhood session while their mom was out of town. Thankfully I got their dad in a couple shots but was so excited with how these fun sisters pulled off one of the silliest and sweetest sessions around. They had energy and even with the bugs relentlessly in our business these girls wanted to capture their sister love and I was so excited to do that for them.
