I’m with you. The world has turned all on its head and it’s really hard to navigate what is best for your family during these precarious times. I want to make it very clear where I am coming from and how I am protecting my family and yours as I continue to do sessions this year. Please also remember that I am just human so I may make mistakes or my mask could slip, please just treat me with respect as I attempt to capture your family. Also please let me know ahead of time if your family has a stricter set of guidelines because I am happy to accommodate you. These are my base guidelines and under no circumstance will I personally become lax on them during our session.

No Contact

I would love to give you a hug, fix your hair if it falls or snuggle your little ones I haven’t seen for so long BUT in order to keep any spread as minimum as possible, I have implemented a no-contact policy. I know with little ones that can be so hard, so please help guide them before my arrival to the session as well.

Mask Wearing

In all outdoor sessions, I will have my mask handy. My intention is to always have my mask on if I am unable to be socially distanced at least 6-10 feet from you. If I need to come in for a close-up photo I will have my mask covering my nose and mouth and give you a heads up. You as the client DO NOT need to wear a mask during the session though it’s always encouraged to wear it during the social time before and after the session if we cannot stand at least 6 ft apart.

Social Distance

Like I said stated above, I am planning to shoot most sessions at a distance of at least 6 ft apart, and if there is any exception like moving closer for a different angle of close up I will inform you ahead of time. Please let me know during the session and before if your comfortability requires that I always stay 6 ft away. Just know this may limit the variety of your images.

Hand Sanitizing

Something I have started implementing is carrying around a small personal hand sanitizer with me at all time. For anytime i make a mistake, need to scratch my nose or wipe my forehead. This gives me peace fo mind that my hands at least in that moment are sanitized. I continue to use the sanitizer throughout the session. This is not required for clients just another way I am trying to keep us all safe.

Yes, I am doing indoor sessions, front porch sessions and back yard sessions for all families who would like to STAY HOME for their session! I realize the level of comfort can differ from family to family so please be sure to clarify before our session if you would like to keep the full session outdoors or not.

Babies are still being born and brought home so my birth and newborn sessions are all indoors and still on the calendar for the year. Policies regarding how I am protecting you and me inside are below.

Mask Wearing

For all, in-home sessions I am wearing my mask the entire time. From the moment I get out of my car to the moment I get back in. This is to ensure I leave no trace in your home. For front porch photos or back yard, I will wear my mask at any moment that I can not socially distance. Really depends on the space you have surrounding your home.

Washing Hands

The first thing I do when I enter your home is wash my hands.

Hand Sanitizing

I’ll be hand sanitizing throughout the session. I will do everything in my power to do no contact but with Newborn sessions this may be harder to accomplish. Please let me know your comfort level on contact of your newborn during or before your session. This may affect posing and saddling portraits portion of the session.

My Family and our Policy for Safety

We have been staying very close to home since early March. I’ve only photographed out of hospital births since the beginning of all of this with my Indoor policies in place at all times. We are doing our best to not put ourselves or our little one at any extra risk. For the trips we have taken we have included a 5-10 day quarantine period arriving and coming home.

We are keeping our social and family circle very small to accommodate child care and our sanity during this time.

This is what I’m asking of my clients who book

1. Please do not bring additional people to the session who will not be in the photos. I know this can be hard for certain sessions but this is to help keep out circle of interaction as small as possible.

2. If you or anyone in your family are showing symptoms, sickness or signs of any kind please RESCHEDULE your session or discuss cancellation if a reschedule time is unavailable due to the nature of your session. This goes for Births and portrait sessions of all kinds.

3. Please reschedule and get tested if you find out before our session that you or your family members have come in contact with a COVID+ person and are at risk to spread the virus.

4. Help me as much as you can! by being clear with your own family’s boundaries and comfortability if it differs from what is listed above.
