The Maternity Story of Sasha, Adam & Olive

There are some people you meet and just instantly there is an easy connection. That’s how it feels with this beautiful family! I remember meeting with them at a coffee shop, eating churros and laughing together months before little Olive was born and just knowing that their story would be such a joy to capture! Their love for each other and this precious little girl have been such an inspiration for me as I became a new mom.

Now of course during our maternity session we really hadn’t met Olive yet. But within a week we would all be racing to the hospital to capture her big arrival much earlier than expected. (I’ll be sharing their birth story next!) Bass Lake is right by their home in Holly Springs and we drove down in their vintage Land Rover (a favorite interest of Adam’s) It was probably the most laidback and easygoing maternity sessions I’ve gotten to capture and it was honestly perfect for these two. We started with a few favorite moments in their Land Rover and then walked along the path by the Lake, making stops along the way to celebrate this precious baby bump! They just laughed and loved on each other with very little direction from me. And as we walked beside the lake the sun was starting to set and it felt so perfect. The Story of Olive from Maternity to Birth to Newborn and then yearly family sessions has been one of my favorite things to look forward to here in NC.
