In Home Raleigh Engagement Session

Hanna Hill Photography

I love when I meet a couple and it's pretty instant that we are going to be friends. I remember meeting these two for coffee last year and thinking just that. Every dorky joke and laidback hopes for their wedding day resonated with me.

They were simply fun to be around and when they approached me about an in home engagement session. (seriously one of my favorite types of sessions in the world) I literally did a happy dance. There is just something so relaxed, candid and cozy about celebrating a love story in the home they are creating together. Getting to capture their sense of humor, affection and space is a truly beautiful thing. Telling their story with more than just poses but the actual details of their day to day lives.

And truthfully can you really celebrate your love story without your puppy being involved? I loved getting to include their bull dog Gus. His personality pretty much sold me on english bull dogs forever!

We started the session off with champagne which in my opinion is the best way to start anything! And then we ended it with some gorgeous sunset moments in the park (which randomly had been covered in snow the day before but it was only 70 degrees out, win win). It was true magic from start to finish. These two are so obviously best friends, they play off each other so effortlessly with both their love and silliness. A favorite moment was when they were both telling me about their bird watching hobby. They kept a book on their table right by the kitchen window so they could always keep an eye out. I mean, how cute is that? They've truly found their person.

I cannot wait to photograph and celebrate their Wedding Day this August. It will definitely be one for the books :)
