A Cozy Fresh 48 Story in Durham, NC |

Duke University Hospital

Rowan K.

Give me all the expressive baby faces and snuggly hospital rooms! There is something so special and a little transcendent about entering a hospital space after your little one is born. It's like the exhaustion and joy, healing and contentedness are all mixed up in the air. It's a really beautiful feeling! Sometimes I'm worried to enter because it feels like bubble I'm not sure I should be apart of, but once i see the moments, the affectionate touches and snuggles. I know my purpose. I'm there to capture that bubble of a moment for you. To give you back the feeling of that space. To remind you of the sacredness of those first few hours and days together before you went home and life truly began.

So excited to finally share the story of little Rowan. This hospital space was the perfect example of what I love about Fresh 48 sessions. First time baby and entering into a world of so much love from his mom and dad. The air was filled with hope and new life. Mom and dad were figuring things out only about 30-40 hours as parents and they were so beautifully in tune with their little one.

If you have ever considered a Fresh 48 Story, I would love to talk! These are a perfect way to capture your unique birth journey without having to commit to full on birth photography! Your little one grows and changes so fast, capturing the little details of when they first arrived are seriously priceless!
